How Blue Light Affects Kids' Sleep (especially toddlers!)

We get a lot of questions from parents of young kids who struggle with falling asleep. Recently I noticed some of them saying things like, "I'm typing this from my toddler's bed."

Given (what some might call) my obsession with natural light rhythms, I'm surprised it took this long for it to click. What if these kids can't fall asleep because they're trying to go from bright indoor lighting directly to bed? Or if the light from a parent scrolling their phone (no judgment) is part of the problem?

So, I started doing more research on how blue light affects kids' sleep. Not claiming to have the miracle answer because this was probably a parenting struggle in ye olden times... but it has to be a piece of the puzzle.

Good with Money Workshop in April

Last spring, several of our readers joined my friend Kate Northrup’s free 3-day Good with Money workshop about regulating your nervous system - specifically around money. Her advice was SO helpful for some avoidance issues I was having. This year it starts April 9th. If you can't attend live, you can still get the replays.

Calm Kitty Meditation

In our calming kitty meditation, your child pretends to be a kitten settling down for a nap after an adventurous day. Of course, a cat needs no excuse to rest! And your child will likely be asleep before the meditation is over.

Find it here or in the PDF library.
