Pollen Season + Spring Diffuser Blends

I'm obsessed with keeping the windows and doors open this time of year, but we haven't had much rain and pollen season has been rough! So here's what I'm doing to keep the house feeling fresh and mitigate some of the allergies:

  • Running an AirDoctor air purifier (currently on sale) full time in the main areas and bedrooms
  • Keeping an old towel by the lanai door and wiping down the cats when they come in from sunning themselves. (More pets and allergy tips here)
  • Diffusing essential oils like lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus to support our respiratory systems along with these refreshing spring diffuser blends you can make at home

Why Kids Need Open-Ended Play

Open-ended play is a breeding ground for creativity. This is why a piece of fabric can be used for dress up, a stage curtain for puppet shows, part of a fort, a doll hammock...

When we give kids toys that only serve one specific purpose (especially electronics that do all of the entertaining), we're taking away their need for imagination. Here's more about the benefits of open-ended play and how to encourage it.

Butterfly Meditation Script

This was the very first guided meditation Mellisa created for Green Child back in 2012. And it’s still one of our most-loved. It’s a sweet, calming story that helps little bodies relax, like drifting on butterfly wings.

Find it here or in the PDF library.

Nervous System + Money Workshop Next Week

This free workshop is genuinely valuable on its own. If you’re new to Kate Northrup’s work, you’ll likely learn something meaningful about your relationship with money and you'll definitely learn at least one nervous system tool you can start using immediately.

This year it starts April 9th. If you can't attend live, you can still get the replays and worksheets.

As always, if you have questions or comments, feel free to reply. We answer every email.

Have a lovely weekend!
